Hadley Green is a freelance video journalist and cinematographer based out of Washington, D.C.

She was a staff video journalist at The Washington Post from 2021-2026 where she worked alongside reporters, photojournalists and designers on the National and Metro desks to produce immersive, revelatory visual journalism. She has covered protests, national elections, extreme weather and major sporting events.

Before coming to the Post, she worked as a visual journalist for WBUR, Boston’s NPR News Station and as a staff photojournalist at a local newspaper in Massachusetts. Her first documentary short, “Earning Alamance,” was picked up by PBS North Carolina in 2021.




Her videos and photos have been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association, the White House News Photographers Association, the Boston Press Photographers Association, and College Photographer of the Year International.

Hadley holds an M.A. in Visual Communication from the UNC-Chapel Hill Hussman School of Journalism and Media, where she was a Roy H. Park fellow. She also has a degree in International Relations from Tufts University.

She is an FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot and has completed hostile environment training.
